How do batteries work?
Vehicle batteries store and deliver electricity through a chemical reaction between lead (the plates) and a mixture of sulphuric acid and water (the electrolyte). In simple terms, when the battery is discharged (electrical current drwan out) the sulphur combines with the lead to form lead sulphate and leaves pure water. When the battery is recharged (electric current put in) the sulphur recombines with the water and leaves pure lead..

In practice, the battery is being discharged by the vehicle's electrical apparatus, and recharged by electrical current from the alternator. In theory, this discharge and recharge sequence can be repeated indefinitely if the lead, acid and water remain absolutely pure and in perfect balance, and the rates of charge and discharge are both gentle.

Why don't batteries last forever?
Through heat generated by the chemical reaction, through vibration in the engine compartment, and through impurities, the plates become degraded or damaged and the chemistry is changed to the point where the reaction will no longer take place - the battery will not accept or deliver electrical current.. How long should a battery last?
A good quality battery should give reliable service for many years - several times its warranty life - if it is chosen correctly and used with care.

The main reasons for premature failure are:
Choosing a battery of the wrong capacity:
Although most vehicle batteries have the same voltage rating (12V), they vary greatly in their storage capacity (ampere hours - AH) and even more importantly, in the peak power they can deliver for their heaviest job - turning the starter motor. If they are not powerful enough to easily cope with a particular vehicle's demand, they are constantly overworked and age more rapidly.

Vehicle defects:
Excessive cranking of the engine (hard starting) will generate damaging levels of heat; and any defect in the alternator or the voltage regulator will cause undercharging or overcharging - with both chemical and heat penalties

Dirt, loose connections and physical shocks:
Dirty or weak connections, especially at the battery’s terminal posts, reduce charging efficiency and increase the loads of discharge. Physical blows to the battery casing or posts can damage and weaken the connections inside the box, worth similar consequences

Why Global Maintenance Free Batteries?

1.Centered Cast-on Plate Straps
- Stronger than the thinner gas burned conventional connectors.
- Reduce the lever action movement resulting from road shock.

2. Exclusive Patented Liquid Gas Separator
- Prevents electrolyte losses by collecting and returning liquid to the reservoir.
- Vents allow the battery to "breathe" during temperature changes and charging.

3. Flame Arrester
- Safety system.
- Prevents the explosion from spark outside.
- Minimize the acid-leakage.
- Prevent the inflow of dust.

4. Wrought Lead-Calcium Grids
- Offer considerable strength.
- Resistant to grid corrosion.
- Over-charge resistance.
- Minimal gassing and water usage.
- Less self discharge.
- Resist thermal runaway.

5. Hydrometer
Shows the immediate condition of the battery.
- Green - Good condition.
- White - Discharged ; recharge battery.
- Black - The battery is fully discharged or worn out; replace the battery.

6.Polypropylene Case
- Reinforced design is precisely tailored to support battery elements.
- Material is exceptionally strong, durable and able to withstand road shocks and vibration.

7. Heat-Sealed Covers
- Prevent contamination and also add to the strength and rigidity.
- Include permanent flame arresters to prevent any accidental explosion from external sparks   or flame.
- In built hydrometer for quicker checking.

8. Low-Resistsance Envelope Separators
- Encapsulate negative plates.
- Improve vibration durability.
- Prevent "treeing" and internal shorting between positive and negative plates
